in an effort to conserve money & catch up on some rest… i am not where you would normally find me on a monday night (rehab mondays @ deb… yes i know, how very “hipster” of me. but hey- an hour of free drinks & $2 beers all night? plus great dancing music? pshhh… i’m kind of regretting not being there right now). however, because i am not out enjoying my youth- YOU GUYS get a blog entry and a few new works up on angelagpestano.com. so go check those out!

so i realize i haven’t updated my blog or my site since foreverrrrrr… partly bc i’ve been lazy & partly because i’ve been really busy with family stuff and such.
i recently got back from an 18-person road trip with the fam to the east coast. spent a couple nights in atlantic city and then stopped in new york to show our aunt from the PI times square. i had a great time, my family is funnay. a seagull stole a donut from my sister’s hand on the boardwalk. good times. 2nd time going to a casino- still don’t fancy it too much.
in job news: got called for a couple interviews since graduating. first one turned out to be some 6-month unpaid bullsh*t internship that could possibly turn into full time. plus i wasn’t feeling the company or the people in it. 2nd one turned out good tho 
i am now the new house illustrator for venus zine! yay. doesn’t pay much, but it’s GREAT exposure and i always wanted to work for a magazine so who knows the places the it’ll take me. first issue i’ll be illustrating in goes to press the end of july. watch out for it!
so i’m posting a page from the new sketchbook i started this summer. not too many drawings in it yet- mostly doodles and notes. i also posted a new piece on my website (http://www.angelagpestano.com) … i kno, i know- just ONE?! i PROMISE more will be posted in the next few days. but i’m getting ready for a gallery show i’ll be doing @ the HOUSE PUB in st. charles. it’ll be up the 28th-30th (starting this coming sunday) and the pieces are up for sale by bid.
i will now stop blabbing. and june has been ridiculously busy- so many birthdays & graduations & other shizz- but it’s coming to a close so i promise promise promise i will post more often. come back!
